How We Score — The Transparent Formula

Our score is the inverse of opaque, pay-to-play ratings: we publish the pillars, the weights, and the exact math. Every number maps to measured data.

PillarWeightWhat feeds itHow the pillar score is computed
Performance35%Google PageSpeed (PSI) score, 0–100PSI ÷ 10, clamped 0–10
Load speed25%Largest Contentful Paint (LCP), measured10 − (LCP − 1000ms) ÷ 400, clamped 0–10
Reliability25%30-day uptime % (our own checks)(uptime% − 95) × 2, clamped 0–10
Value15%Lowest real entry price (USD)10 − price ÷ 2, clamped 0–10

Final score

score = Σ (pillar_score × weight) = perf×0.35 + speed×0.25 + reliability×0.25 + value×0.15

Each pillar is normalised to 0–10, then weighted. A pillar with no data yet contributes 0 (and we say "no benchmark yet" rather than guessing). The result is rounded to one decimal. Nothing about this number is for sale.

The score is computed the same way for every provider — there is no manual thumb on the scale, and affiliate relationships never change it (see how we make money). Pillars with no data yet contribute zero and are shown honestly as "no benchmark yet".
