Affiliate disclosure
The short version: HostingTweaks is free to use. We earn a commission when you buy hosting through some of the links on our site. That commission never influences our benchmarks, scores, rankings, or what we recommend.
How it works
Many hosting providers run affiliate programs. When you click certain links on HostingTweaks (often shown as “Visit site,” “Get deal,” or coupon buttons) and then sign up, the provider may pay us a referral fee — at no extra cost to you. In many cases the deals we surface are better than the public price, not worse.
What it does and doesn't affect
- It does help fund the testing, monitoring, and engineering behind the site, so we can keep it free.
- It does not change our scores. Our scoring formula is computed the same way for every provider, from measured data, with published weights. There is no paid placement in our rankings or benchmarks.
- It does not decide what we recommend. Our tools rank options by genuine fit and measured performance. We will recommend a lower-commission or no-commission provider over a higher-commission one whenever the data says so.
Where you'll see it
We label sponsored placements clearly as “Sponsored,” and they are kept separate from — and never alter — our independent, data-driven rankings. This page, plus a short disclosure in our footer, is our standing notice in line with FTC guidance.
